We focus on the world around us during the month of March. The children especially enjoy exploring the idea of space – even though it’s an abstract concept for most preschoolers, it’s just too fun not to spend a little time learning about planets, astronauts, and rocket ships! Have you heard about our “space station” playhouse, complete with jet packs and switchboards? The Pre-K class also explores space through a variety of science activities, including balloon rockets, astronaut pudding, and exploding moon rocks.
March is full of special events as well:
- Crazy Hat Day is Monday, March 16th for the Preschool class and Tuesday, March 17th for the Pre-K class. Your child is encouraged to wear a silly hat to school. We will be using our hats for group time and music time so please make sure your child brings one to school.
- Our field trip to Teacher Leslie’s farm is Wednesday, March 25th. The children will get to meet Dewdrop, Valentino, and Cupid (the lambs) and all of the other animals on the farm.
