Back to School - September

What an exciting beginning to school we have had at BCNS! We are pleased with the beautiful transition the children have made into understanding their classroom routines so well.  Children have been arriving at school bursting with smiles, eager to explore and see friends!

Our current curriculum content area for both classes focuses on exploring the seashore. We have been exploring this topic in our songs, dance, art projects and games.

We have some fun upcoming events that we would love some help with, if you can.  September 25th, we will be celebrating the first birthday of the school year at BCNS.  It is the birthday celebration of Souris, our special school mouse.  Souris has been at BCNS for many, many years.  She loves to come out for each child’s birthday, but we need to celebrate her birthday first!  We would love a parent to make little mouse cookies for the party.  (We have a darling little mouse cookie cutter for you to borrow!)  We would also love a parent to help decorate the cookies with the children during class on September 25th

. If you wish to help with these opportunities, please let your child’s teacher know.

Wednesday, October 16th is our field trip to the pumpkin patch and farm on Day Road! For the AM class we would like you to drop your child off at the farm at 9am that day.  Pick up at the farm will be at 11am.  Please feel free to stay….it should be a lot of fun! The PM class will meet at school, as usual.  Teacher Kari is looking for two or three parents who could drive a few children to the farm that day.  Please let her know if you are able to join the class on this trip. The cost for this field trip is $8.00 per child.  Please bring your money between now and then.

Thank you for sharing your wonderful children with us!

Warmly,
Teacher Anita and Teacher Kari
