Here’s a classic poem that you might hear your child reciting at home:
5 Little Pumpkins
Five little Pumpkins sitting on a gate.
The first one said "My, it's getting late."
The second one said, "There are witches in the air."
The third one said, "But we don’t care."
The fourth one said, "We’ll run and run and run."
The fifth one said, "It's just Halloween fun."
"Whooooo" went the wind.
And out went the light.
And the five little pumpkins rolled out of sight.
As the weather begins to change, please remember our school’s philosophy of All Weather Play. Rain, cold, and other uncomfortable weather patterns for adults are often just fine – sometimes enjoyable, actually – for children as they continue to develop their own opinions and sensory tolerances. Please help us support your child in All Weather Play by sending them to school with appropriate clothing: waterproof boots, warm socks, waterproof gloves, hat, and a warm coat with a hood.
